Top New Year’s Resolution In Ontario
It seems that Ontario residents want to get more out of life in a variety of ways as they approach a new year. Legal, regulated Ontario sportsbooks have been thriving, so why not the customers who use them?
Saving money, with a search interest score of 91, was the top resolution in the period we studied (going into New Year’s Eve 2023 and just beyond into the first couple of days in 2024). That task is more pivotal considering the current exchange rate for the Canadian dollar. One American dollar is worth $1.42 Canadian, according to data at the xe.com website as of Dec. 6, 2024. On Jan 1, that rate was $1.32 CAD to $1 USD.
The Canadian dollar has been steadier against the Euro over the past year, fluctuating between $1.44 and $1.51 CAD to a Euro during 2024.

Other Ways Canadians Want To Improve
The second-most popular New Year’s resolution (81 search interest score) was to read more. We’re guessing that people mean reading more books – but residents of Canada’s largest province could also get closer to that goal by reading Ontario sports betting apps reviews at OntarioBets.com in 2025 – or now, for that matter.
Getting a hobby was also a popular search (77 score) followed by two more resolutions that, well, were aiming for more: Learning more and traveling more (76 each). That exchange rate could complicate travel plans – but then, Statistia.com data shows that 19% of travel in Canada is domestic, and the world’s second-largest nation by area certainly offers endless opportunities.
And if you stay in Canada, then check out the nation’s favorite sport as OntarioBets.com offers the latest Stanley Cup odds for comparison.
