It’s hard to call a multistory mass of concrete and rebar “sexy.” But that’s not to say that the aesthetic of the NBA’s litany of basketball arenas is necessarily unappealing to the masses. And certain facilities ranking better than others leaguewide. As it turns out, the NBA’s lone team in Canada ranks among the NBA’s most Instagram worthy arenas.
OntarioBets.com took a break from our Ontario sports betting apps reviews to find out what the most “Instagrammable” NBA arenas are ahead of the 2024-25 season. We created a scoring system, factoring in the number of tagged visits on Instagram (arena location), the number of hashtags for the team, followers of official team Instagram pages plus a general ranking of the arenas.
Rank | Team | Total Points |
1 | Los Angeles Lakers | 113 |
2 | Boston Celtics | 106 |
3 | Chicago Bulls | 104 |
4 | Miami Heat | 97 |
5 | Brooklyn Nets | 91 |
6 | New York Knicks | 90 |
7 | Los Angeles Clippers | 89 |
8 | Toronto Raptors | 88 |
9 | Golden State Warriors | 87 |
10 | Cleveland Cavaliers | 78 |
The Toronto Raptors play at Scotiabank Arena, a 25-year-old facility in downtown Toronto, the nation’s largest city. Our rankings are based partly on a list at HoopsHype.com for NBA arenas, as voted on by traveling media members.
We have continuing NBA coverage and the latest on Ontario sportsbooks at OntarioBets.com.
Across the 30-team National Basketball Association, the Raptors’ score of 88 put the franchise in eighth place overall. Scotiabank Arena ranks just behind the No. 7 Los Angeles Clippers with 89 points (more on that later) and just ahead of the ninth-ranked Golden State Warriors, who had 87 total points.
The most Instagram worthy arenas in the league were the Los Angeles Lakers’ Crypto.com Arena (113 points), the Boston Celtics’ TD Garden (106 points) and the Chicago Bulls’ United Center, which had 104 points. The Celtics lead the NBA Finals 2-0 over the Dallas Mavericks; Pinnacle Ontario Sportsbook has Boston as a -737 favorite to win the best-of-seven series and its first title since 2008.
Why the different rankings for the Lakers and Clippers, who share Crypto.com Arena? That’s where our other categories (hashtags, tagged visits and so on) become a factor.
The Miami Heat’s Kaseya Center (97 points) and the Brooklyn Nets’ Barclays Center (91 points) round out the top five. Venerable Madison Square Garden, home of the New York Knicks, garnered 90 points for sixth place.
San Francisco’s Chase Center, where the Warriors play, and the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse (78) wrap up the top 10.
In Toronto, the city’s arena built in 1999 has stood the test of time, with Scotiabank Arena ranking as one of the NBA’s best facilities despite being older than many of its peers in the league.
