And then there were 43 — that’s the number of legal entities now licensed and running for online casino Ontario operations.
The latest to join the party and go live is Betsafe, after the holding company for the brand, Betsson, was granted operator and supplier licenses for online gaming in Ontario.
The casino apps Ontario fall under the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and iGaming Ontario umbrellas in the province.
Number of Ontario Gambling Sites Growing
The number of operators keeps swelling a month away from the one-year anniversary since the launch of a fully open, competitive market in the province (April 4).
The province is well on its way to becoming one of the largest gaming markets in North America, with offerings such as Ontario online slots, table games and more.
