Year Three of the Brian Daboll era in New York has been nothing short of a gridiron quagmire for the football Giants. The former Buffalo Bills assistant is 2-8 and skidding towards a second losing season in a row – New York Giants playoff chances are already close to zero with seven games left.
The Giants are on a bye week and looking at games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens at home in the next five weeks. Will the team make a major change before then? We already wonder who will call the shots in New Jersey, now and in 2025.
OntarioBets.com, as part of our Ontario sportsbooks coverage, broke down some hypothetical odds on who will be coaching the Giants come next season.

Daboll is atop our board to stay put, but if the Giants go another direction, we think they will focus on offense. Offensive coordinators such as Todd Monken of the Baltimore Ravens, Bobby Slowik of the Houston Texans and Ben Johnson of the Detroit Lions lead the way among outside candidates on our list.
Entering Week 11 of the NFL regular season, Daboll and the Giants are well behind the NFC East-leading Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) and the Washington Commanders (7-3). Even the third-place team in the division, the skidding Dallas Cowboys (3-6), are 1.5 games ahead of Daboll’s crew. Though they only lead the division by half a game, the Eagles are a big favorite at NorthStar Bets Ontario Sportsbook, with -225 odds to win the division. Washington is +175, followed by Dallas (+15000) and New York (+100000).
New York is reeling through a five-game losing streak that included an inexplicable loss in Germany to the woebegone Carolina Panthers on Sunday, and struggling teams often make big moves coming off of a bye. But given the Giants’ lack of movement after their faceplant in Germany, it seems unlikely that team officials will make a move to replace Daboll in the near term.
We also provide a New York Giants betting guide for more insight on the team.
That’s why we have the current head coach of the New York Giants as our top pick to lead the team into the 2025 season, at +125. Current OCs Monken (+1000), Slowik and Johnson (+1200 each) could be candidates if the team makes a move.
Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick – who rose to fame during his six years as Giants DC, including their Super Bowl wins in 1986 and 1990 – has +1500 odds on our board, as does Buffalo Bills OC Joe Brady. Two defensive coordinators, Aaron Glenn of the Detroit Lions and Jesse Minter of the Los Angeles Chargers, are at +2000 each.
Caesars Ontario Sportsbook has the two-time defending champion Kansas City Chiefs as the favorite to win a third consecutive Vince Lombardi Trophy, at +390 odds. The Detroit Lions are second, the top choice in the NFC, at +440.
