Are Aliens Real? Top 5 Alien-Believing Ontario Cities
With news in August that there’s water on Mars, it’s worth wondering whether we may have more lifeforms in our galaxy than previously thought. It seems to be less of an alien concept in certain parts of Canada’s largest province than others.
That’s because a few Ontario cities are true believers when it comes to extraterrestrial life. Cities in the province such as North Bay, Oshawa and Thunder Bay post the highest online search interest scores of any locale in the country when it comes to aliens in the home of Ontario online casinos.
A poll found that 79% of Canadians believed in at least one conspiracy theory, compared to 84% of Americans (according to Global News). One of those conspiracy theories is about the existence of aliens. At OntarioBets.com, we saw that Ontario ranked fifth among Canadian provinces for percentage of alien believers. That’s according to Google Trends search interest scores for “aliens,” between August 15, 2004 and August 15, 2024. Because of this, we wanted to know which Ontario cities have the most alien believers, following the same criteria in Google Trends. Using the search interest scores, we ranked the top provinces and top 5 Ontario cities for alien conspiracists.

Top 5 Ontario Cities For Alien Conspiracists

When it comes to alien search interest in the province where Ontario sports betting proliferates, there’s no topping North Bay, Oshawa and Thunder Bay. Those three posted the highest scores overall, at 100 and 92, respectively.
North Bay was the lone city in the province to post a perfect score when it came to aliens, beating out the other two, who tied for second. Sudbury (89 search interest score) and Orangeville (88) rounded out the top five in the province.

Still, when it comes to alien search interest totals, Ontario can’t hold a candle to Canada’s provinces on the plains. Manitoba and Saskatchewan both posted scores of 100 apiece when it came to topics related to extraterrestrial life.
Throw in the Maritime province of Nova Scotia (98 search interest score), Canada’s western-most province at 85 and Ontario in a distant fifth at 81 and you have the full rundown of the Canadian provinces that are digging through the online troves the most to find out about UFOs and ETs in 2024.
