The Super Bowl and AFC East odds shifted for the Buffalo Bills after their big home win last Sunday over the Dallas Cowboys. The Bills went from 19.0 in decimal odds to 13.0 to win the Super Bowl. They also improved their odds from 4.0 to 3.0 to win the AFC East, according to the traders at BetMGM Ontario Sportsbook.

That win put them at 8-6 on the season, going into their Saturday night game in Los Angeles against the 5-9 Chargers (8 p.m. Eastern). The conversation about the Bills went from whether they would make the playoffs to their chances of toppling the Miami Dolphins for the AFC East division title. However, it’s not like Buffalo is out of the woods. ESPN has them at 64% probability to make the playoffs as odds on the Denver Broncos, Cincinnati Bengals, and Houston Texas start to drop off.

As it has been the past few weeks with wins over the Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs, which shortened their odds at Ontario sports betting apps, every Bills game is like a playoff game.

Bills-Chargers Betting Odds

As of Friday morning, the Bills were big betting favourites over the Chargers, who are without QB Justin Hebert. PointsBet Canada has Buffalo at 1.13 on the moneyline, with the Chargers 6.5. The spread has the Bills as a 12-point favorite (1.91 odds).

After Buffalo’s James Cook was named was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Cowboys, it’s no surprise that a lot of the focus with customers for Bills vs. Chargers player props betting at Ontario sportsbooks has been on the running back. Cook had a breakout game against the Cowboys: 179 yards rushing on 25 carries and one touchdown. He has 968 rushing yards this season, for a 5.1-yard average. New offensive coordinator Joe Brady has re-shaped the focus of the unit around the running game, led by Cook.

Not surprisingly, Cook is a top fantasy RB option this week against the Chargers, one of the worst defenses in the NFL (averaging 375.3 yards allowed per game). A spokesperson for PointsBet Ontario Sportsbook said Friday that “all the James Cook overs” are seeing a lot of player prop interest. Cook’s rushing prop is currently 70.5, his receiving prop 25.5.

At BetMGM, Cook over 23.5 receiving yards is one of the most popular bets, along with Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid over 3.5 receptions and Bills receiver Stefon Diggs over 69.5 receiving yards.

Other Popular Bills-Chargers Prop Bets

FanDuel Ontario Sportsbook reports that some of the wagers getting the most attention as far as player props for Saturday’s Bills-Chargers game are Josh Allen passing yards, Allen completions and Diggs receiving yards. The story is much the same at Caesars Ontario Sportsbook. That operator reports that Cook receiving yards, Kincaid receptions and Allen passing touchdowns are getting a lot of betting interest.

The Bills injury report lists DE Al Epenesa (rib) and RB Ty Johnson (shoulder) as questionable. Safety Micah Hyde (neck) and DT Jordan Phillips (wrist) are out.
