Week 4 of the NFL season is upon us, with fans of the Buffalo Bills breathing a little easier. They, and those who wagered on Buffalo with Ontario sports betting apps, have seen consecutive victories after the Week 1 loss to the New York Jets. Quarterback Josh Allen had four turnovers against the Jets but has straightened out since, leading his team to two decisive wins over the Las Vegas Raiders and Washington Commanders. He just had one interception over those two games.
The BetMGM Ontario Sportsbook shows movement on the Bills’ playoff odds – now the odds are 1.33 that they make it (that side is drawing 74% of tickets, 78% of handle), 3.4 that they don’t.
Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins Fantasy Football
This weekend, the Bills are back home, hosting the Miami Dolphins (1 p.m.) in a key early-season AFC East showdown. Odds are tight – BetMGM has the Bills at 1.67 Moneyline favourites, the Dolphins at 2.25. PointsBet Canada has the same odds.
Fantasy football players are no doubt looking at the Bills differently as well. Using ESPN, Yahoo Sports, CBS Sports and FantasyPros rankings for each position in PPR (point-per-reception) leagues, OntarioBets.com continues its Ontario sportsbooks insights by providing consensus fantasy rankings of each Buffalo Bills player for their upcoming matchup.
Buffalo Bills Quarterback Josh Allen Fantasy Rankings
Allen has turned the corner, away from the reckless play that has marked his career, including in that Jets game. He matured after Week 1 and is playing more controlled football. The stats back it up – a completion percentage of 72.7, third best in the league; five passing TDs, seventh in the league; a QBR of 69.2, sixth in the NFL, according to ESPN. Allen is at 11.0 at NorthStar Bets Ontario Sportsbook to win NFL MVP.
Buffalo Bills Running Back James Cook Fantasy Rankings
Cook is third in the NFL in rushing with 267 yards, and an impressive 6.1 yards per rush average. People are taking notice of the Bills’ sophomore. The Dolphins have allowed 130 yards per game in rushing so far, ninth worst in the NFL. Cook Over 55.5 yards rushing is a prop wager with 1.90 odds at Caesars Ontario Sportsbook for Sunday’s game. One fantasy caveat: Cook has zero rushing touchdowns in 2023.
Buffalo Bills Wide Receiver Stefon Diggs Fantasy Rankings
It was a big game for Diggs last week against the Commanders – eight catches for 111 yards including a 30-yard reception. He’s eighth in the NFL in receiving yards and has one TD. At BetMGM, the Longest Reception prop for Diggs has the Over 25.5 at 1.85, the Under 25.5 at 1.90. Diggs is Allen’s top target and is a strong option for fantasy players.
Buffalo Bills Wide Receiver Gabe Davis Fantasy Rankings
Davis had a beautiful 35-yard TD catch against Washington. Davis has been averaging 17.7 yards per catch this season. It has been more quality over quantity with him – Allen threw to him only four times against the Commanders and that scoring play was Davis’ lone reception.
Buffalo Bills Tight End Dalton Kincaid Fantasy Rankings
Kincaid is a rookie, so you have to factor in his lack of experience. The stats bear that out so far for fantasy players – he had just 3 yards on two receptions in Week 3. For the season he has 11 receptions for 72 yards and zero TDs.
Buffalo Bills Tight End Dawson Knox Fantasy Rankings
Like Kincaid, Knox has had little impact so far at tight end so far – just seven receptions, 46 yards and one TD. Allen threw to him just twice in Week 3, connecting once for 11 yards.
Buffalo Bills Kicker Tyler Bass Fantasy Rankings
Bass is money. He made all three of his field goal attempts against Washington and was a perfect 4-for-4 in extra points in the 37-3 win. He’ll continue to score points for Buffalo’s prolific offense and he’s 100% on FGS, going 7-for-7 including a 54-yarder.
Buffalo Bills Defense/Special Teams Fantasy Rankings
The Bills have been an interception machine with seven over three games, tops in the NFL. They have forced nine turnovers overall, also the most in the league. Buffalo has no touchdowns off of those turnovers. They’ve had seven sacks for 26 yards lost. The defense’s middling projections this week are no doubt a reflection of the matchup against Miami’s explosive offense a week after the Dolphins hung 70 points on Denver. In that game Tua Tagovailoa and company gained 726 yards, second-most in league history.
