The Buffalo Bills head into the second month of the season with a 2-1 record after Sunday’s dominant 37-3 road win against the Washington Commanders. The Buffalo defense embarrassed second-year QB Sam Howell, sacking the Commanders' signal caller nine times and collecting four interceptions. Buffalo is riding high heading into October, and if recent history is any indication, it should be a good month for Bills fans and their backers at Ontario sports betting apps.

To that end, OntarioBets.com is diving into the October performance of the Buffalo Bills and comparing it to other teams in the league. Check out the results:

As you can see, the Buffalo Bills have been a top-10 NFL team in October since 2018. But accounting for the entire Sean McDermott era, beginning in 2017, the results are even better. The sixth-year head coach has gone 15-8 in October, winning at a .652 clip.

Unfortunately for Bills fans, their schedule for the spookiest month of the year looks downright scary.

Buffalo Bills 2023 Schedule

First up is a divisional matchup against the undefeated Miami Dolphins in Week 4. The Dolphins’ offense exploded on Sunday, putting up 70 points on the visiting Denver Broncos. It was the most points scored by a single team in a game since 1966. The Bills are 2.5-point home favorites on DraftKings Ontario Sportsbook, and the over/under is cranked all the way up to 53.5. Expect fireworks in Orchard Park on Oct. 1.

The following week the Bills will cross the Atlantic Ocean for a clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. The game will be played at the home of Tottenham Hotspur of the English Premier League. That could present a slight advantage for the Jags when it comes to jet lag. Week 5’s showdown will be the second game in a row Jacksonville will play across the pond, marking the first time an NFL team has played consecutive games in London.

After flying home, the Bills will face the Giants on Sunday Night Football on Oct. 15, then in Week 7 they’ll head to New England for an AFC East grudge match against the Patriots. Buffalo’s final game of the month will see the team back in prime time for a Thursday night tilt with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 26.

It’s a daunting stretch, but true Bill-lievers can bet Buffalo to win the Super Bowl at +1000 odds at NorthStar Bets Ontario Sportsbook.
