One of the NBA’s up-and-coming rotation players is hitting free agency for the first time this summer. Guard Immanuel Quickley looks to cash in on a season where he averaged 17 points per game and had 4.7 win shares in 68 games between the New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors.
Quickley has gone from a solid sixth man for Knicks to a valuable starter with Toronto. OntarioBets.com, as part of our Ontario sports betting coverage, developed hypothetical free agent odds to see where Quickley might sign for the 2024-25 NBA season. He could strike a deal with the Raptors, but other teams might offer him a contract that the Raptors won’t match.
Immanuel Quickley Free Agent Odds
Team | Odds | Percent Chance |
Orlando Magic | +1000 | 9.1% |
San Antonio Spurs | +1050 | 8.7% |
Detroit Pistons | +4450 | 2.2% |
The Field/ Raptors | -400 | 80.0% |
Quickley, 24, was dealt by New York alongside R.J. Barrett in December. The deal sent OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa and Malachi Flynn to the Big Apple, shaking things up at Ontario sportsbook apps as the Raptors soon fell out of playoff contention. But Quickley, a fourth-year pro out of Kentucky, saw increases across the board in offensive production with his new squad.
Whichever NBA team signs Quickley will undoubtedly have to fork over a lot more than the $4.1 million he earned last year. The restricted free agent will likely draw an intense bidding war from multiple franchises once free agency kicks off this summer.
Teams Most Likely To Pursue Quickley
The top teams in the Quickley NBA free agent odds sweepstakes, as developed by OntarioBets, have changed quite a bit since we initially posted these odds in May. Now, the Orlando Magic (+1000 odds, or a 9.1% implied probability) and the San Antonio Spurs (+1050, 8.7%) stand atop the race to land the multi-talented guard from Maryland. As for which direction Canada’s lone NBA franchise might go, check out our Toronto Raptors draft preview for odds. The Detroit Pistons are longshots to land Quickley, at +4450 odds.
There’s also a chance that some other franchise swoops in to sign Quickley or that the Raptors opt to invest in him. The odds of him signing with the field or remaining with Toronto are listed at -400, an 80% likelihood.
One way or another, some NBA franchise is going to land a top-notch guard this offseason, as Quickley looks to capitalize on his strong finish with Toronto to earn his first big-time paycheck. As for the ongoing NBA playoffs, Caesars Ontario Sportsbook lists the Celtics as the title favorite, with -800 odds. Boston leads Dallas 2-0 in the best-of-seven NBA Finals.
