The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. added another feather to its major sports league cap with the announcement of a partnership strategy agreement with the NBA.
That’s No. 4 if you’re counting. The OLG and its PROLINE Ontario sports betting platform now have similar agreements with the NHL, NFL and MLB. So now, as the private sector in the Ontario iGaming market continues to build, the OLG is showing no signs of stepping back as the market grows.
Thursday night is the NBA Draft, so the timing is apropos. PROLINE is now an official partner of the NBA in Ontario. And for the first time, bettors will be able wager on the draft. That gets started at 8 p.m.
This is a multi-year deal, with OLG and the NBA creating experiences on PROLINE, in both its digital and retail platforms. OLG will continue to utilize NBA betting data, integrate official league marks and logos while collaborating with the NBA on a variety of basketball content across all its sports betting platforms.
“Continuing our partnership with an incredible organization like the NBA will help OLG create new excitement and opportunities for basketball fans,” says Dave Pridmore, OLG's chief digital and strategy officer. “We’re thrilled to offer wagering on the NBA Draft for the first time while bringing our valued sports bettors even closer to the game through exclusive content and gameplay.”
