The number of operators offering Ontario online casinos has risen yet again.
The Titanplay brand is now live in Ontario, according to a post on social media site X (formerly Twitter) from iGaming Ontario, which operates online slots, blackjack, roulette and more in in Canada’s largest province.
Titanplay is the brand name in Canada for Shark77 Limited, which has jurisdiction in Malta.
For the 2023-24 fiscal year (ending March 30, 2024), the gambling industry in Canada raked in more than $63 billion CDN in handle. Of that, $51.8B came from casinos, compared to $9.7B wagered on sports and $1.624B on peer-to-peer poker.
There are now 70 online operators offering casino apps Ontario, according to a list on the iGO website.
That wagering generated $2.433 billion CDN in revenue during the 2023-24 fiscal year alone. Again, the vast majority – $1.781 billion – came from online casinos. That far outpaced revenue generated from online sports wagering ($588 million) and poker ($67 million).
