Morgan Stanley on Tuesday provided an updated Ontario sports betting app download analysis, based on Sensor Tower data, through the end of April.
According to the analysis, theScore Bet led downloads through April 30 at 31% share, followed by legacy operator (open pre-regulations) bet365 at 26%. FanDuel is at 16%, BetMGM at 13%, Betway at 4%, PointsBet at 4%, BetRivers at 3% and Caesars/888/LeoVegas at 1% each.
The progression during the first month of legal Ontario sports betting is telling.

BetMGM’s share increased over the month, starting at 2% while generating 25% the last three days of April. Bet365’s share increased from 14% on April 4 to consistently hitting 25-30% share, according to the report.
FanDuel Sportsbook Ontario’s share has been consistent since launch, starting at 14% and hovering between 12-25% since. PointsBet has also been able to move up, from 1-2% in early April to 5% over the past few days.
The market is still waiting on DraftKings Sportsbook Ontario and BetRegal to enter.
