The Toronto Blue Jays enter the 2024 MLB season with hopes of advancing to the postseason for the third straight year, a hope that fans and the team’s backers at Ontario betting sites will share.
Last season, more than 3 million fans attended games at the Rogers Centre, meaning Canada’s only MLB franchise had the third-highest attendance in the American League. And the team has some talented players who will bring fans to the Rogers Centre over the spring and summer.
Led by exciting young players such as Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the Jays will seek to win a postseason series for the first time since 2016 (see our Vladimir Guerrero MVP odds to gauge his chances of being named the top player in the American League this season).
Blue Jays Promotional Schedule For 2024
Like all baseball teams, the Blue Jays’ 81-game home schedule features several promotions designed to entice people from all walks of life to buy some peanuts and Cracker Jack and take in a game.
Our team at OntraioBets.com was curious about what promotions Toronto fans are most eagerly awaiting. Using the team’s 2024 Promotions & Events Schedule, we surveyed Blue Jays’ fans on Reddit to see what their favorite themed nights were. Then, we ranked the top five promotions according to votes. Based on this system, the promotion for Canada Day is the favorite Blue Jays theme game this season. This list was prepared exclusively for OntarioBets.com, where you can follow Toronto Blue Jays playoff odds all season.

Favorite Blue Jays Theme Nights
Oh, Canada!
The most popular theme game doesn’t really come as a surprise. July 1 is Canada Day, a federal holiday celebrating the unification of the Canadian colonies that occurred on July 1, 1867. When the Blue Jays play at home on the holiday, the team wears a special themed jersey to commemorate the day and holds other festivities before the first pitch.
This year, Toronto hosts the Houston Astros in a game scheduled for 3:07 p.m. The first 15,000 fans entering the stadium will receive a “Canadian Tuxedo” ballcap that features the Blue Jays logo in denim, embroidered on a denim cap.
That series with the Astros could be a postseason preview. DraftKings Ontario Sportsbook gives Houston -450 odds to make the playoffs (and +360 the Astros won’t). They give the Blue Jays odds of -125 that they’ll play in October and +105 that they won’t.
On Aug. 9, when the Blue Jays play the Oakland A’s, the stadium will hold Harry Potter night. Those enthralled with Harry Potter books and movies can enjoy various activities across the park, and the first 15,000 fans will get a free Harry Potter-themed T-shirt.
Pride Night, Play Ball Back-To-Back
Best sports betting apps Ontario options will include various bets on games all season, not just moneyline.
The Blue Jays welcome the Cleveland Guardians for a three-game set June 14-16, a series that features three special events. The opening game is Pride Night, while the Saturday game is Play Ball Saturday, which celebrates youth baseball and softball. The series wraps up with a special Father's Day promotion for the Sunday afternoon contest.
Toronto wraps its home schedule and regular season Sept. 27-29 with a three-game series against the Miami Marlins. That will also be Fan Appreciation Weekend, which will include games and drawings throughout. For the Friday opener, the first 15,000 in attendance will receive a special “FANnel” shirt.
The season starts on Thursday with a four-game set at the Tampa Bay Rays. Toronto plays its first 10 games on the road before hosting its Opening Night on April 7 against the Seattle Mariners.
Think the Blue Jays can get off to a hot start? Oddsmakers at BetMGM Ontario Sportsbook give the team +1400 odds to win its first five games. At -350, Toronto has the second-lowest odds, tied with the Mariners, to win at least 80 games.
